| Hotel Information |
The Hotel stands out like an ultra-hip, ultra-modern refuge. Opened in 2000 and set in a lush park, within walking distance of the historic covered Chapel Bridge on Lake Lucerne, the boutique hotel was designed by Jean Nouvel, considered one of Europe's most talented architects.
The hotel has only 25 rooms, including 10 with their own patios and 15 with park-view. The major achievement of the architect which made every room unique is the unconventional ceiling design. Its whole surface is occupied by large internally illuminated photographs with scenes from favorite movies of the architect. Photographs are well seen from the outside. Illuminated, the photographs transform the hotel facade into a mosaic panel made of color and light effects. The hotel Bam Bou restaurant is the most stylish in Lucerne. Dark wood of tables perfectly goes with the mixture of predominantly blue-and-red colorful gamma and metallic brilliance of the ceiling. Interestingly, it is also near the Lucerne Culture and Convention Centre, another of the French architect's famous projects.Ambiance
